Prepare for Roll-Off Dumpster Delivery
Prepare the position and the truck’s route as two related tasks. A bin-sized space alone does not establish delivery access.
Confirm the proposed location
Share the surface, slope, overhead obstacles, gates and turning constraints with the advisor. Request dimensions and delivery requirements for the actual equipment. Placement should be reviewed for a suitable firm area and a workable approach.
Discuss surface protection with the provider and property owner where needed. No generic website statement can guarantee that every driveway or ground surface will remain undamaged. Do not improvise a setup that conflicts with delivery instructions.
Clear the site before the arrival window
Move parked vehicles and removable obstacles from the agreed route and position. Make sure gates can be opened and someone reachable can explain the placement. Check that other deliveries or contractors will not occupy the same space.
Arrange permissions before arrival. Provide special time windows, security procedures and the site contact when booking, not only after the vehicle has reached a closed gate.
Think ahead to loading and pickup
Allow room for the loading door where applicable and keep pedestrian movement separate. Consider whether the container will block work that needs to happen later in the rental.
Keep the same route available for collection. If ground conditions deteriorate or site access changes, notify the advisor before the pickup visit. A usable delivery route can become unusable after construction or bad weather.
