DUMPSTERS · RENTAL GUIDE
Prepare for Dumpster Pickup & Disposal
Finishing the cleanout is not the same as arranging collection. Check the agreed pickup process before the last day.
Confirm the collection arrangement
Find out whether the booking includes a scheduled pickup or requires a request. Give the advisor the date, site contact and access instructions. Explain if an exchange is needed so work can continue after a full container leaves.
If more time is needed, discuss an extension before the current term ends. Collection availability and any added rental time must be agreed rather than assumed.
Review the load without taking unsafe risks
Check that waste remains within the approved fill and material limits and that no items stick out above or beyond the container. Follow the provider’s door-securing instructions. Remove temporary coverings only as instructed.
If unapproved items or an overfilled load need attention, contact the advisor. Do not climb into unstable waste or handle suspected hazardous material to make the load look ready.
Keep the route open through collection
Move parked vehicles and other obstacles, open agreed gates and keep a reachable contact available. Notify the advisor of mud, standing water, changed access or other conditions affecting the truck.
The agreed terms may address failed access, additional handling or overweight material. Ask for those conditions before booking. Disposal acceptance and actual load weight are separate from the visual size of the waste pile.
