Resolve roof-material questions before tear-off
Explain the building work and whether testing or other documentation has been requested by the responsible contractor or receiving facility. Do not use appearance alone to declare an older material acceptable. Keep questionable material outside the ordinary loading plan until its handling is settled. A municipal guidance page is not a promise that a private rental will use that facility.
Keep the container available for the final trade
A roofing crew may finish before carpentry or interior repairs are complete. Identify which work belongs in the same rental and whether an exchange is needed between stages. Reserve space for the collection vehicle throughout the job, including after new materials arrive. Ask who may authorize pickup so the container is not removed while another contractor still expects to use it.
Price the material plan, not only the box
Request the rental period, included weight, hauling, accepted materials, and exchange terms together. Clarify documentation-related delays, extra days, and how a changed debris mix affects the proposal.
