A shelter reservation is only one planning step
Douglas distinguishes park-shelter reservations from its special-event process. Discuss the actual event with City Hall or the venue manager, including outside equipment and the service vehicle's route. A shelter booking alone should not be taken as approval for any restroom placement. Put the agreed location on the same sketch used for catering, seating, parking, and emergency access.
Schedule around setup and teardown crews
People may need facilities before guests arrive and after the event closes. Include those work periods when asking about the rental duration. For an accessible unit, discuss the travel surface and approach as well as the unit itself. Keep the servicing area reachable without driving through an occupied gathering, and give one organizer responsibility for communicating layout changes.
Include the whole venue access window
For a Douglas event, compare options using the same setup, public-use, and teardown dates. Ask whether accessible equipment, handwashing, delivery, pickup, and any intermediate servicing are included. Confirm how a venue-imposed access change or an extended gathering would alter the quoted scope.
