Keep the occupied entrance usable
Mark a pedestrian route from the building to the unit and any handwashing station. Review surfaces, changes in level, doors, and circulation with the property representative. Discuss an accessible unit and its approach together; the equipment label alone does not resolve the user's route. Avoid assigning the same space to a debris-loading operation.
Arrange maintenance while the building stays open
Give the provider the permitted access hours and a contact who can open the site. Explain when deliveries, fencing, or contractor parking will change the approach. Ask how cleaning, pumping, consumables, and handwashing replenishment are scheduled, and what notice is needed for a relocation. A unit should not be shifted casually by another trade.
Compare the whole interruption period
Request written terms for delivery, removal, recurring service, handwashing, and any move after the building reopens. Ask how an extended plumbing interruption or missed access visit changes the arrangement.
