Work backwards from the pedestrian entrance
Identify where workers or guests enter and leave, then locate toilets away from the path of moving materials. Ask about an accessible unit when the project needs one and examine the whole approach, including surfaces, gates and turning room. A wider cabin does not correct a stepped or obstructed access route. Handwashing should be considered alongside the toilets rather than left until after the available space has been allocated.
Make the service visit part of the project schedule
Discuss cleaning, supplies and waste removal before choosing a rental duration. Give the specialist expected attendance or crew size, hours of use and any periods when the entrance will be blocked. If a site superintendent controls a shared loading area, name that contact in the arrangements. A one-time delivery appointment is not enough for a longer hire whose units also need servicing.
Review placement before upgrading the equipment
For a proposed curbside or sidewalk position, use DDOT's public-space process rather than assuming an equipment order includes permission. On private property, obtain the owner's placement approval. A trailer may be worth discussing for a different user experience, but confirm its access, setup and utility requirements separately; it is not a direct substitution wherever a portable cabin fits.
Describe the whole sanitation request
A useful quote includes the equipment mix, rental dates, expected use, service frequency and any difficult entry conditions. Ask which delivery, servicing and pickup arrangements are included and how schedule changes would be handled. Availability and final terms are agreed for the specific address.
