Separate yard contents from construction debris
List packaging, furnishings, lumber, dense demolition material, metal, appliances, and any containers holding fluids separately. Ask what the proposed rental accepts and keep exclusions outside the general load. The borough's recycling and disposal resources may help identify questions, but they do not establish the rental hauler's destination or its loading terms. Avoid treating every item found in a work yard as ordinary debris.
Make room for exchange operations
Where work generates successive loads, describe the sequence and when the next trade needs the staging area. Ask whether an exchange is supportable and what clearances are needed for the proposed truck. Agree who moves parked vehicles and keeps access available. Do not count on moving a loaded container yourself to release space; request a reviewed collection or relocation arrangement.
Quote the load and the collection sequence
Compare delivery, pickup, rental duration, included weight, and any proposed exchange. Explain restricted yard hours and special transport requirements. Ask how the price changes for extra time, a different debris mix, or an obstructed retrieval route before accepting the terms.
